It may also promote better sleep, reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing. Direct any medical questions to your doctor prior to booking your appointment.
What should I skip doing beforehand?
Skip the alcohol, caffeine, large meals, several hours before your float to reduce the chances of having the jitters or a talking tummy.
Skip shaving or waxing for at least 8 hours prior to your appointment since the salt water can irritate your skin.Ouch!
Can I float if I’m on my period?
Yes, please wear a tampon or menstrual cup. Tip: Coat the string with vaseline (available in room) to prevent the salt water from drying and clumping.
Can I float if I have dyed hair?
We do require you to wait until there is zero color coming out when you rinse out hair. It is recommend you wait 14 days to ensure the color has set. If you have vibrant colors like pink, red, blue etc. you may not be able to float. We do a color test. Dyes can mess up the float waters and stain tank so we are very stringent with these policies.
